Pond's Flawless White

In need of an even skin tone, I turned to this cream that I have been hearing a lot about. I bought mine off of ebay, I don't know if it is available in the U.S. but it is very popular overseas. There is a whole product line which includes the cleanser, night cream, spot corrector and daily lotion. 

I don't have the rest of the treatments, only the lightening day cream. The day cream is not moisturizing but since I have very oily skin that's no problem. If you have dry skin you will need a separate moisturizer and the best time to put it on is after you wash you face or get out of the shower.

I have heard that this cream is better than or comparable to Sheisedo's Lucent White which is really expensive. You can buy the day cream for US $26. Many people talk about the smell but I think it smells pleasant like a perfume and the cream itself looks pearlized like there are crushed up pearls in the cream. I have only used it two days so I will keep you posted on the results and do a before and after shot.

Silent Hill Nurse Costume

Just in time for Halloween! Instructables has a tutorial on this darling costume of one of the nurses from the game Silent Hill. What you will need:

Shirt Dress pattern (most will do, just try to get one similar to the costume. You'll be shortening it after. I used McCalls M4769)
-1 Yard of White or Off-White linen & all the fixin's..buttons or velcro, thread, etc. (I wouldn't place any bets on the amount of fabric used, cause I reused a costume I previously made. Just follow what's on the pattern for your size, and a little extra for the hat.)
-Plaster Strips
-A Plastic Bag
-Scissors
-Tea
-White & Clear spray paint (Optional..but you can get 'em at cheapie stores for a buck apiece.)
-Acrylic Paints (brown, light brown, dark green, black, and red)
-Fake blood (Also optional, but very useful. Only downside is if it dries on your fabric it tends to look a little pinker than one would like)
-White tights
-Old pantyhose or knee high..something like that.
-White high heels or flats (since I did the costume last minute I'm afraid I didn't have a chance to get a pair of heels I didn't mind messing up..I'm sad about it. :c )
-Paintbrushes & Newspaper
-An outfit you don't mind screwing up in the process

I've lately been in a hair funk and instead of doing streaks, I want to do ALL red hair. I have gathered some of the best resources to help you if you like this idea as well. I will post a tutorial when I have completed my own hair color. This is temporary so you can always change it if you need to.

BB Cream

The main cachet of BB cream is that it has vitamins and skin improving ingredients in it while giving you a dewy glowing look that is hard to find with a regular foundation. BB cream has a dual function as a wrinkle improvement and acne fighter. The more you use it, the more you will see a difference in your skin. I feel that it does not give me the beautiful cover I get from my Physicians Formula Organic Wear, but it does the job and does give you a beautiful glow. Plus it has extracts of caviar so how can you go wrong?

I love love Studio Ghibli way before it was cool and I came across this tutorial for the Calcifer cake one day. Since Calcifer is one of my favorite characters I found that I could not pass up making this cake and we decided to make it. Super cute cake idea and so easy, no fooling around with pain in the ass fondant or anything else complicated.You basically just need rolled butter cookies, a cake mix, hard candies, sprinkles, candy eyes and frosting.

Everyone loves Maru the Cat because he speaks the language of cute!!!

There's no language barrier there!

Generally, you might not even be a cat person such as myself only for the exception of Hello Kitty. But once you lay eyes on Maru you find yourself quickly loving all that is feline. Why, you ask? Maru is no ordinary cat. He has this obsession with boxes and trying to fit into them. He is like a woman who is in denial about her actual size but tries to fit into clothes that are sizes too small anyway.

 Maru has been dubbed “the cat who likes to get stuck in things.” Which is a pretty good description. He is a Scottish Fold cat in Japan that is the 8th most subscribed channel in Japan on Youtube under the username mugumogu, with videos of his antics. His loving owner of course tapes their interactions and keeps a blog and Twitter for Maru. Maru already has two books and a DVD which all are on Amazon. Aww
