Project 365

I have started a new project, pROJECT 365 in which I am going to take a photo every day and post it online. I think it will be neat to come back after the year is done and see how far I have come as a person and as a photographer. Seeing as I have had my heart broken recently, I appropriately chose my first photo to be entitled, "Broken Heart." You can start your project too, one photo at a time...

Shiori Matsumoto is a Japanese painter who paints beautiful, haunting, dream-like images on canvas and wood. Her images capture young girls in fairy tale surrealism. Rather than focusing on creating purposeful meaning, Shiori likes to leave the interpretation up to the viewer instead. The description of the eyes and the cryptic messages in the paintings seem to be the most prominent focal points.

She includes among her influences: surrealism, symbolism, modern illustration, and Japanese subculture including kawaii! ☺ She is an inspiration! Follow here.
